2023-24 Indoor Coaches

High Performance Coach

“Hello! My name is Lily and I will be in charge of the HP program for the 2023 on-water season! I am eighteen years old and rowed competitively at the RRC for six years. I competed in a variety of regattas for the RRC, SRA, and RCA. In 2018, I broke the indoor world record for Junior Women’s half marathon (21,097m) and in 2019, raced for the Canadian National Team at the Junior World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. I am excited to make this shift to coaching, as I complete my final year of high school.”

Highschool Development & Junior Development Program, Learn to Row Programs & Youth Camp Coach

"Hello, I'm Ellen! I started rowing at the Regina Rowing club when I was in grade 11, beginning in the high school learn to row program. I moved into the junior competitive program where I have rowed for both the Regina Rowing Club as well as Team Saskatchewan. This past year I rowed for the University of British Columbia. I just finished the second year of my degree, currently studying earth and ocean sciences. I am back in Regina for the summer to coach as well as continue rowing before going back to school in the fall. I am looking forward to a fun summer of coaching and rowing!"

Hi I’m Brooklyn! I started rowing 2019 through my school’s learn to row, but I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it because my prior comment to ringette and softball. However, in the midst of the Covid lockdown my friend called me to join a zoom call for rowing, knowing that my other sports were on hold. I joined the meeting and got on the water that week. I fell in love with the sport and its community. Rowing is now my number one. I trained for two years and qualified for Canada Games in the pair, four and eight. I now have plans to go to UVic to row and go to school. Outside of rowing I like rock climbing, crocheting and baking! A fun fact about me is that I love rowing sweep boats. I look forward to coaching athletes this summer and making some fun memories!

CLUB COACH

“Hi I’m Verity! I’m originally from Dorset in the United Kingdom but I moved to Regina in January. I started rowing around 7 years ago on the sea off the south coast of England. I studied nursing at King’s College London where I rowed for King’s College London Boat Club. During my studies I also qualified at Henley Women’s Regatta for the United Hospitals Boat Club, a London medical school composite. After graduating I rowed for London Rowing Club. Outside of rowing I enjoyed running, bouldering, hiking and crafts! I’m looking forward to working with all the athletes and coaches at RRC this year!”

Masters/Adult Recreational Coaches

Hi, I’m Conn. Originally from Regina, I learned to row at the Regina Rowing Club in 2018, while operating as the club manager. After leaving for university in the UK, I rowed for King’s College London Boat Club, competing at various events including the Head of the River Race, British University Championships, and Henley Royal Regatta. After graduation I competed in Scullers Head on the Tideway before returning to Canada and training with the Winnipeg Rowing Club. Aside from rowing I enjoy cycling and cross country skiing. I am excited  to be able to contribute to the function of the club and development of athletes at RRC this summer.
