Learn To Row (LTR)

Join the Regina Rowing Club on Wascana Lake in a Learn To Row Program!
Our Learn to Row courses teach the basics of rowing to those with no rowing experience. Each session is 8 hours, where participants will learn basic rowing techniques, terms, and safety. Participants will have the opportunity to row on a rowing machine, in a single boat, and in larger rowing boats such as quads and eights.
All rowing equipment is provided. Participants should wear comfortable, snug-fitting exercise clothing with runners and socks. A water bottle, sunscreen, or rain jacket may come in handy, depending on the weather.
The 2013 session dates are :
- Session #1: May 8th and 9th from 6-8pm and May 11th from 8am-12pm
- Session #2: May 29th and 30th from 6-8pm and June 1st from 8am-12pm
- Session #3: June 19th and 20th from 6-8pm and June 22nd from 8am-12pm
- Session #4: July 17th and 18th from 6-8pm and July 20th from 8am-12pm
The cost is $150 for 3 lessons (total of 8 hours).

Once your Learn to Row course is over, new rowers can continue rowing after upgrading their membership to a Novice membership.
Your LTR fee can be applied towards a Competitive or Non-Competitive membership, provided that they join the Club the same year.
Youth Rowing Camp
Rowing Camps enable youths aged 12-15 to learn basic boat skills, boat safety, and increase their overall sport ability. Participants will learn to row on rowing machines, in single rowing boats, and in boats with other rowers. At the end of the week, participants will have the opportunity to compete and row with experienced rowers.
The registration fee is $125.
Three Rowing Camps will be held this summer:
- July 8-12, 9am-noon
- July 22-26, 9 am-noon
- July 22-26, 9 am-noon
